NBYO Honoured for Business Excellence

The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra has been named Non-profit Organization of the Year, by the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Moncton. The recognition was handed out during the Chamber’s 34th Annual Business Excellence Awards, which took place at Casino New Brunswick on October 23rd.

“We are very honoured to receive this Business Excellence Award,” says Ken MacLeod, CEO of the NBYO. “As an organization we strive to create opportunities for our young people, to encourage them to learn life skills through playing music. We have also worked very hard to show the world, through concerts, social media and community activities, the talent that exists here in the province. To be recognized for the difference we are making means a lot to us.”

The love and support we receive from this community is overwhelming. On behalf of every single person involved with the NBYO, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The real applause goes to the community for the love and support we’ve received over the years.

The Business Excellence Awards celebrates entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship in Greater Moncton. This year, 32 businesses were nominated in a variety of categories, with ten being selected. This is the first Business Excellence Award that the NBYO has received.
