Chelsey Hiebert, Centre Director (Moncton)

Chelsey Hiebert is the oboe Teaching Artist and Centre Director for Sistema New Brunswick’s Moncton Centre.  She holds a diploma in chamber music from Wilfrid Laurier University where she studied with Richard Dorsey and a Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance from Brandon University where she studied with Robin MacMillan and Douglas Bairstow.  

Chelsey has played in ensembles across Canada including Symphony New Brunswick, The Kitchener Waterloo Chamber Orchestra, The National Youth Band of Canada and a wide range of ensembles at both WLU and BU. Her summer studies include programs at The Banff Centre, Domaine Forget, and The Orford Arts Centre. As a passionate teacher Chelsey has been a clinician across Manitoba, taught the oboe portion of Woodwind Techniques at Brandon University, and has taught private students at a variety of different levels.
