Students from Sistema NB Richibucto Centre showed their musical skills as they performed at the 4thCinéRelève Festival last Friday evening. The young people played two original pieces that had also been recorded for the documentary which was screened. "L'opposition des Rois: by filmmaker Gilles Doiron, tells the story of Saint-Paul, NB school teacher, Daniel Mallais, who helped one of his students win a provincial chess competition.
Like the talented young chess player, Sistema NB students exemplify the difference that hard work makes in achieving a goal. It is through their efforts that they were able to contribute to this wonderful documentary and participate in the community screening.
Thank you to Mr. Doiron and CinéRelève for including us! It was an experience of a life-time for our talented kids who worked very hard to learn and perform these pieces.
