This fall, Ukulele Voyages started its second year with lively kick-off concerts at Barkers Point Elementary in Fredericton and Maplehurst Middle School in Moncton. The inspiring shows featured James Hill, an internationally acclaimed ukulele virtuoso, who wowed the audience with his incredible talent.

Thanks to a partnership with Sistema NB, these performances celebrate the ongoing growth of this special music education program. They brought together learners, educators, families, and community members for a memorable musical experience. The concerts also included performances by East Coast Brass and Tutta Musica, who will help support music lessons at the schools.

Hill’s energetic show highlighted how versatile and expressive the ukulele can be. His performances inspired young musicians to think creatively and try new things with music. These events mark the beginning of another exciting year of learning, creativity, and teamwork, as Ukulele Voyages continues to bring meaningful musical experiences to students across New Brunswick.

Thanks to the ongoing partnership with Sistema NB, learners will have more chances to improve their musical skills, gain confidence, and make new friends through playing music together. The successful kickoff events in Fredericton and Moncton set a positive and enthusiastic tone for the months ahead.
