The Miramichi Youth String Orchestra is one of three regional youth orchestras in our province, along with the Saint John Youth Orchestra and the Moncton Youth Orchestra. These orchestras represent the highest level of excellence in the Sistema NB program. The orchestra has made significant strides in fostering musical excellence among young talents.
Composed of dedicated and skilled musicians, the Miramichi Youth String Orchestra has played alongside Edwin Huizinga and Dan Brown. They have prepared and contributed nine members to the internationally acclaimed New Brunswick Youth Orchestra. Currently, five members are enrolled in this prestigious provincial ensemble, showcasing the high level of preparation and training provided by our program. Notably, two of our former members had the honor of performing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York, a testament to the exceptional caliber of musicianship nurtured within our program.
